Best Towns to Visit in Granada Province (Not Including the Alpujarras)

Granada province stretches from the coast - Costa Tropical  to the north and borders with Spain's largest Natural Park (which is in the neighbouring province of Jaen) Parque Natural de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas. Cazorla Town and National Park Within its boundaries lie the ski slopes of Sierra Nevada and the highest peak on mainland Spain, Mulhacen. Its diverse, beautiful, wild and yet a garden of paradise where tropical fruits grow. I'm going to share with you a couple of my favourite 'best towns to visit' in Granada Province, which don't include the villages of the Alpujarras - that's another day, another post and another holiday, so huge is Granada! Picturesque Castril Almost as far north as you can get while staying in Granada province is the fabulous town of Castril.  A mountain town with an abundance of water creating a small, yet fast flowing river with tumbling waterfalls. Rachel Webb - Picture Book (Pre-published) Writer

It´s been pretty quiet on this blog for a while now. I´ve been writing and studying but not blogging. A passion from the time my sons were young has resurfaced - and I´m throwing my all at it.

My first grandchild - a granddaughter is suddenly one and a half and the time is flying passed faster than ever. A rather big, round birthday is on the horizon next year and I have to move on with my desire before time flies even faster!

I´ve done and keep going back to Julia Donaldson´s BBC Maestro course, which is very informative for a newbie like me with videos and course notes.

Now I´m doing a more interactive 6 week course with Lou Treleaven. It is fun and there is actual writing to do and homework to send in for feedback. The aim of  the course is to have produced a manuscript worthy of submitting to an agency or a publisher at the end of the six weeks or as long as you need to complete it.

I´ll be back to let you know how it´s gone at the end of the course. Right now I am enjoying it, I do like the interaction (by email) and having to do tasks and don´t want it to finish!

Oh and I joined the Society for Children´s Book Writers and Illustrators aka SCBWI!
I have also signed up for the Golden Egg Academy starting this month (April 2022.) Exciting times, learning and improving my writing.

So today I applied to Write-Mentor to be a Mentee on their four month summer Mentoring Programme. The date they publish those accepted is 28th April, so a nail-biting 3 week wait! Writing goes on....
