Zuheros Town, Cordoba, History, Charm and Stunning Views

It´s not the first time Zuheros has featured here on Andalucia Explorer. This very charming, white-washed hillside town is just 45 minutes from home and a favourite to take visitors too. Recently I had viewings there with some lovely clients looking for another home in this area. Leaving early to grab coffee and explore a little - there´s always a new corner I´ve not seen and the views always change with the different light depending on the time of day and year. Zuheros Approach The day was going to be a scorcher, nearer 40c than 30c so an early start was needed. Being a hill town means steep streets, lack of parking and a bit of hill walking. There are a couple of car parks but, as you can imagine, they are just out of town and, with a bit of a climb to get there. Following an older lady (can I say that at 62?) up hill she turned through an archway, one I hadn´t spotted before- I had to follow. It´s knowledge rather than nosey - surely? Spain - UK - Spain Again

After another not so pleasant trip back to the UK again, I´m a champion of ParkingMar in San Julian just 1km out from Malaga airport. My only complaint is that they don´t valet the inside of my car!

It shines for ages after it has been under their care for 5 Euro a day. I take it in filthy mainly due to the mass of growth and the sparrows that like to roost in the vine and honeysuckle shade I created for the cars.

Hubby even noticed, several days later, that my car was (different) clean and shiny.

I left Birmingham airport at 6.50am on Tuesday morning with a cloudless sky and arrived to rain and it has on and off ever since.

But - rain means not so cold overnight. Rain means cloud and no frost. How can I complain? Please tell me.

If you´re looking for cheaper parking at Malaga airport take the turning to the airport, at the roundabout take direction Malaga then San Julian. The parking (I think it´s ParkingMar) that I´ve used several times is the first one under the bridge on the left. A great and helpful bunch of chaps and excellent washers of cars.

Hopefully there´ll be no more emergency and follow-up UK trips for a while.

Buses and trains are frequent from outside arrivals, there are two direct buses to Granada a day, otherwise it´s a bus into Malaga bus station and then plenty of connections are available.
