Does in Get Cold in Andalusia?
So Autumn has just hit. From lovely warm days of 25c or so to 16c today. Does it get cold in Andalusia (or Andalucia)? Yes, it does where I live. Andalusia is a mountainous region and where there are mountains it gets colder than on the coast.
With a daytime temperature of 16c the expected over night temp is going to be 5c - that´s cold. Can´t complain though, it has only just come and we´ve only lit the woodburner for the second time this autumn, the first time on a cloudy day for hot water - the house was too warm.

Fluctuations from the late 30s to the odd 40c day in summer down to the odd overnight freeze in mid winter are what you can expect up here in the north of Andalucia. Stay near the coast and those temperatures change dramatically.
If you are wondering about the weather because of wanting to move to southern Spain give me a shout, I´m an estate agent in Jaén province and have lived here since 1996 - soon I´ll have lived here longer than in the UK - I´m not going back there.
