Monday Morning Photo - Wisteria Time in Andalucia

How quickly spring comes around after the short winter here in the Sierra Sur de Jaén. After lots of very much needed rain we´re back to the normal cloudless blue.  My garden is shooting incredbily with the moisture and now sunshine. And my beautiful wisteria flowers grandly albeit it short-lived. The big black carpenter bees love it. Each flowering season reminds me of the Botanical Gardens in Malaga and the ´tunnel´ of wisteria that I haven´t yet caught in bloom. April is a good time to plan to go if it´s on your list.  Here´s the botanical garden link La Concepción Botanical Gardens. And a sneaky peak at the wisteria. See the Monday Morning Photos list.

Lanzarote - Ruta de Tapas

The popular Ruta de Tapas in Costa Teguise, Lanzarote, runs every winter, normally at the beginning of January. Thirteen restaurants are taking part in the incentive to get tourists to try out local tapas dishes around the popular resort in Lanzarote. Each restaurant is offering a tapas dish that they have chosen and a glass of wine or beer for just €2.50.

You can collect a participation card from the tourist office in Costa Teguise, which you get stamped at each restaurant. It is a fantastic way to try out some of the traditional Canarian dishes that you might not have tried otherwise.

After you have visited all the restaurants (you don’t have to go to all) you can then vote for the restaurant you liked the best in order to be entered into a prize draw to win a holiday for two to Fuerteventura. Other tapas tasting events are often running throughout the year, so keep an eye out whilst you are out there.
